I was just reading randomly through some blogs and I came across the name of this book Pole Dancing To gospel hymns which definitely inspired this particular post and another thing that inspired this particular post is a TV serial The Spot by EbonyLife TV, by the way, they have great shows. Yeah so back to my sources of inspiration
1. The book- I just got caught up when my eyes stumbled upon this topic and I felt an urge to write something on it maybe because of the irony surrounding the title. Its a book written by Andrea
Gibson, I had never even read the book before in my life just saw the poor thing online.2. The Spot, Speaking in Tongues is the title to this particular episode wit Lil Kesh as a guest

So, Pole Dancing To Gospel hymns or rather music- this sarcastic or rater ironic statement is a clear depiction of whatever is happening in our society nowadays
and it is the idea of hypocrisy and false pretense daily beclouding our minds either from the western world or from within us, you know what i think, i strongly believe its from within us definitely, because we cant keep blaming westernization for all the rubbish. All the pretense, all the corruption , all the idolatry practice, some of these tins in fact most of these thins are created/invented already in our minds even before it was seen on TV. Social hypocrisy, mental degradation, religious fanaticism, physical abuse, financial abuse are all cancerous ideas of annoyingly sick minds.
Some of you might not quite get the angle from which I approach this issue , but all i am talking about ere is mere hypocrisy, as associated wit the title of this post, you cant pole dance to gospel hymns, hell no, apart from the fact that it doesn't seem right, it just doesn't go at all, just imagine your self romancing a shiny vertically placed metal rod/pole with either O for a thousand songs to sing OR The first noel playing in the background. All am saying is be YOU, just do what seems right in your eyes and in your mind of course, although sometimes what might seem right to you might not sit right with me. Do what makes people happy, if you have a faith you don't have to shove it down peoples throat, its okay to try to convince, its okay to try to persuade, but trust me wen you make it all about yourself and how you want to get to the great beyond it might not work out as planned, as for me though I do believe in Jesus Christ. ave a nice day fellas.
The issue of our Nigerian girls or rather ladies claiming to be modern day feminists is just so disturbing, disheartening and utmostly irritating. Basically and personally I think they are being influenced by the westernized world and celebrities and they don't understand what in particular is worth fighting for. Many of these women activist fight for gender equality because they feel women are been suppressed more in the society which to some extent is true, but our know-know naija babes will go ahead and make it about them selves saying all sought of rubbish, most of this girls only do stuffs like these on social media platforms to gain fame, popularity or to be labelled as a feminist.
- feminism is the advocacy of women's rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to men.
So this is what I think FEMINISM is all about,
- Feminism is about equality and better lives for women, not about female dominance. Many feminists are married and in long-term relationships with men, and many men call themselves feminists too.
- It's natural to feel angry when you're being discriminated against or repressed in some way, no matter what group you belong to, but address issues like these sensibly and in a more understanding manner.
- Feminists are Whiny in some kind of way. Ever notice that whenever a woman complains about anything, she's called a nag, or whiny? Women are "supposed" to be agreeable and eager to compromise, so it's no surprise that women who express discontent with societal norms are labelled as whiny. But look at it this way: thanks to "whiny" women around the world, women in most places can now vote, own property, work in any profession they wish, and prosecute men who sexually harass or discriminate against her.
A more systematic investigation into what people think about feminists found that many people think that feminists are ugly, uptight, angry, aggressive, harsh, strident, demanding, dogmatic, man-hating lesbians… or think other people think they are. Only 26 percent of people say that feminist is a positive term.
This suggests that actual feminists have lost control over their own reputation. It would be counterproductive, after all, for feminists to portray themselves as unlikable. Negative stereotypes about feminists, instead, are likely spread by anti-feminists.
So its not fair to label everyone as Stereotypical feminists just because some ladies decides to do otherwise, and ladies its also not wise to do these things, because you make it hard for the ACTUAL Feminists who are fighting their ass off to make the world a better place.
Here's wishing all our hardworking Parents, Colleagues, Lecturers/teachers, CEO's, Bread Sellers, Tailors/Obiomas, Cobblers, Business Men and Women, Managers, VC's, any another hardworking worker a wonderful Worker's day and many more to be celebrated. Since we are students, our lecturers and teachers would be busy resting at home on Monday (tomorrow), we also would help them celebrate this wonderful day on their behalf, by:
- praying for them: whether you like it or not, they are your teachers/lecturers, therefore they have to mandate to teach and instruct you daily, now for them to teach you the correct things comprehensively, you have to pray so God could impact more knowledge into. then,
- Turning Up HARD!!!
